MEET YOUR TEACHER

My name is Alice and I am passionate about making anatomy study relatable, digestible, and empowering for yoga teachers. In the nine years that I have been teaching I have gone through many phases and many learnings that have equipped me with the knowledge I have and wish passionately to share with others today. I teach twice yearly 200hr yoga teacher trainings in both UK & UAE, have been leading continuous professional development courses for teachers since 2019, and since this time have mentored and trained personally over 100 yoga teachers.

As well as a yoga teacher, I am a qualified pre and post natal corrective exercise specialist, a qualified PT, Myofascial Release teacher, and movement lover of many kinds! I have always loved learning about the complexities of the human body and you’ll find this comes across a lot in my teachings. The type of student that is drawn to my trainings are open minded, curious and caring, lover of knowledge and non binary thinking, and seeker of seeing different perspectives. In the words of Judith Lasater, ‘teach people, not poses.’

FAQs

Who is the course for?

The course is aimed at yoga teachers, but is also open to committed and interested yoga students too. While the movement practices in the course will be yoga specific, the course is also open to those from other movement disciplines such as Pilates Instructors or PTs.

Will there be opportunities for questions or feedback?

Yes - any questions as you move along the course you can pop them in the comments and Alice will respond, you can also email any questions or chat about any topics via DMs!

How long do I have to complete the course?

As long as you need! The course is designed to fit into your life, and while the content is in depth it is also intentionally broken up and fully digestible.

How many years teaching experience do I need to do the course?

This course is for all teachers no matter when they have completed their foundational training or what stage they are at. The content is progressed, layered, and explained in a relatable and informative way. No matter what stage of teaching you are at, you will get plenty out of the course.

Is there a manual?

Yes - the course comes with your own 80 page digital manual.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes - you can spread the cost of the course over two months. Need a little more assistance to spread the cost out more? Fill out the contact form below.

I have done an anatomy training before, will this still be beneficial?

Absolutely. Every training is different because of who you do it with and their varying backgrounds, perspectives, and intentions. Learning is a journey and I am so pleased I didn’t stop at my first anatomy course. Updates and revisions are an amazing way to step into critical thinking which is what we want from our participants. The course isn’t taught solely from a yoga perspective either but rather a multi disciplinary movement perspective which adds so much depth to your teaching repertoire.

Can I get Yoga Alliance hours with it?

No, I have decided to not register this course with YA. I only now register my 200hr YTTs with Yoga Alliance and am moving my CPD courses (such as this) away. Why? Yoga Alliance isn’t an official governing body of yoga. My advice is focus less on the registration and more on what is important: what is the value added of the course? What outcome do you desire? Who are the teachers and what are they bringing? Get a proper feel beyond a YA logo.
