Yoga for the Embodied Teacher
108-Hour Immersive Yoga Teacher Training with Alice Gray + Dina GhandouR
advanced, authentic, rooted
Dubai | November 2026 – March 2027
Yoga classes don’t need more perfection, poses or playlists, they simply need more of you.
In a rapidly changing world, communities are seeking yoga teachers who are equipped not only to guide movement, but to hold space with depth, discernment, and care.
Many practitioners we speak to express a desire for more understanding of the body, more meaningful ways to create impact, and ultimately more ways to share the teachings of yoga with authenticity and integrity.
This is what Yoga for the Embodied Teacher is about - a yoga training for those who are curious, reflective, and willing to engage with yoga as both a personal and professional practice and also a living, evolving tradition.
Together, we'll explore embodiment and anatomy, philosophy in practice, voice and leadership, assists and touch, nervous system, community building, and the realities of creating a sustainable career in yoga.
Through this work, confidence emerges not from performance, but from a deeper connection to the teachings, the body, and one’s own lived experience.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This immersion is for yoga teachers and experienced practitioners who feel they’ve outgrown where they are in their practice or teaching, but aren’t yet clear on what comes next.
For those ready to move beyond what they were taught, and make more informed, embodied, intentional choices in how they teach.
For teachers who want confidence in the room, not from more cues or sequences, but from a deeper understanding of what they’re doing and why.
For teachers who want their classes to feel less formulaic and more responsive, considered - to the bodies in the room, to the time we’re in - and reflective of their own voice.
For those perhaps feeling a quiet disconnect from the current yoga landscape, and wanting something more grounded, thoughtful, and real.
For teachers wanting to reconnect with why they started, and rebuild a practice and teaching life that feels sustainable.
For teachers currently at a threshold in time in yoga - knowing that both they and the community they serve want and need more.
And for those craving genuine community with other teachers who are asking deeper questions, not competing for answers.
what we will explore
ONE: EMBODIMENT
Teaching yoga starts with living yoga. Throughout the immersion we'll explore practices that cultivate greater self-awareness, presence, and connection to the body:
Embodied movement and anatomy
Rethinking anatomy through lived experience, sensation, and intelligent movement rather than shapes and alignment cuesNervous system + what it truly means to be ‘regulated’
Moving beyond buzzwords: understanding the nervous system in a way that actually changes how you teach, sequence, and hold spaceBreath awareness and pranayama
Breath as a teaching tool: how to weave pranayama into classes in a way that is accessible, grounded, and genuinely impactfulCyclical wisdom and the importance of rest and recovery
Why rest is not passive: working with rhythm, cycles, and recovery as essential parts of practice and teaching (not an afterthought)Developing voice, language, and authentic communication
Finding your voice as a teacher: moving beyond cues and scripts into language that is clear, embodied, and actually yoursValues-led teaching
Teaching from what you actually believe in: how to build classes, themes, and a teaching style that reflects your values, not trends or templates
“ Alice’s programmes have been transformative for me. Her depth of knowledge, communication style, and supportive approach throughout the training has given me a much deeper understanding of yoga, both on and off the mat. The training was challenging, intense, meaningful, but also so so joyous.”
“What I appreciate the most about Dina is the way she speaks about the practice, not as a trend, performance, or lifestyle brand, but as something lived, rooted and deeply imperfectly human. While illuminating where things have gone astray. There’s a grounded honesty that makes all different types of people feel welcome as they are. ”
TWO: TEACHING METHODOLOGY
Move beyond inherited templates and discover how to teach with greater clarity, intention, and creativity.
Creative sequencing
Moving beyond formula: how to build intelligent, creative classes that feel alive rather than templatedSequencing beyond the peak pose model
Rethinking how we structure classes when the peak pose is no longer the point, but the experience isWorking with intention and theme
How to create classes with real coherence and meaning, without forcing themes or relying on cliché intention settingDeveloping meaningful dharma talks
Finding something worth saying: how to speak to a room in a way that feels grounded, relevant, and genuinely humanThe art and purpose of assists
Hands-on assists as communication, not correction: when touch supports, when it doesn’t, and why intention matters more than techniqueTeaching diverse bodies and experiences
Teaching the people in front of you, not the body in your head: adapting language, choice, and approach for real human variation
THREE: YOGA IN CONTEXT
Yoga does not exist in isolation. Together we'll explore some of the broader questions surrounding modern yoga and our role as teachers within it.
Topics include:
Decolonising yoga
Unpacking the history and power structures of modern yoga, and what it means to teach in a way that is aware, respectful, and informedCultural appropriation vs appreciation
Moving beyond simplified debates into a more honest, grounded understanding of lineage, context, and responsibility as a teacherYoga as a personal and collective practice
Exploring yoga beyond the individual mat practice: how it shapes, and is shaped by, community, culture, and shared experienceCommunity building and collaboration
Rethinking the yoga industry model: moving from competition to collaboration, and learning how to build genuine, supportive teaching communities
“If you want a training for both your heart and soul this is it. Alice doesn’t only teach you how to teach yoga but has encouraged me to be unapologetically myself, to ask questions, and to keep delving deeper.”
““I’ve always enjoyed yoga but in an off-and-on way. Since getting into Dina’s classes, that’s changed. Dina is welcoming, approachable, and her classes are challenging but never intimidating. If you’re sick of yoga that’s just exercise, give Dina a go. She’s the real thing.” ”
FOUR: BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE CAREER
Teaching yoga is both a way of life and for many of us a profession. We'll explore practical tools for creating work that is meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with your values.
Topics include:
Clarifying what you stand for
Getting clear on your voice as a teacher: what you actually believe in, and how that translates into the way you teach and show upMarketing with integrity
How to share your work without disconnecting from your valuesBuilding community
Creating real connection in your teaching spaces: moving beyond attendance to genuine relationship, trust, and continuityEnergetics of money and pricing
Exploring money, pricing, and exchange in a way that is practical, honest, and less emotionally loaded.Creating multiple income streams
Building a sustainable teaching career that isn’t dependent on one class format, one studio, or one identity as a teacher
ABOUT YOURS TEACHERS
Dina
Dina is a Palestinian healer and guide deeply passionate about women’s health, energy, movement, and decolonising wellness. She creates thoughtful, compassionate and nurturing spaces where you’re invited to show up fully and be held as your whole, beautifully imperfect self. Her work is shaped by the needs and experiences that arise within our community, guided by a deep connection to spirit, energy and intuitive insights.
Alice
Over the course of ten years as a yoga teacher, I have cultivated a deep passion for empowering students through an embodied and intuitive approach to teaching. It is an honour to train people to teach yoga. Having worked with over 100+ teachers to date I find this work of mine a joy and something that I don’t take lightly.
As well as a yoga teacher, I am a lover of many styles of movement, and fascinated by the human body and its mystery. The type of student that is drawn to my trainings are open minded, curious and caring, lover of knowledge, and seeker of seeing different perspectives. My favourite yoga quote is from Judith Lasater: ‘teach people, not poses.’
