“I’ll never forget my experience on this retreat. It was sensational and undoubtedly one of the most important things I’ve ever done for myself.”
What you will get…
Seven nights accommodation.
Three delicious locally sourced meals each day.
Morning daily yoga classes in a fully equipped yoga shala.
Evening classes - a mix of restorative, sound healing, and breath work.
An en-suite room with its own terrace, either private or shared.
Daily house cleaning.
Unlimited tea, coffee, fresh fruit, homemade baked goods.
No words needed.
What you can expect…
You’ll get two daily classes: in the large thatched yoga shala that sits in the beautiful tropical garden or on the roof terrace that has 360 panoramic views of the surroundings. The shala has gorgeous views of the lake and with its thatched roof and marble floor it stays wonderfully cool even in the hottest part of the day.
Your morning classes will be up-lifting, energising, intentional, and flow based. Early evening classes will be restorative and super chilled - think lots of bolsters, pranayama and Yoga Nidra. All of the good stuff! Expect unhurried and indulgent yoga and quality movement. Not practiced with us yet? Find out more about us and our style of sharing yoga and movement with you below.
0utside of yoga you will have plenty of time for swimming (either chilling at the infinity pool, or taking a daily dip the local lake), sunbathing, reading, hiking (the walks truly are exceptional), canoeing, treating yourself to a massage or two, and exploring the peaceful local area.
“The only downside about this retreat was leaving it. I want to bottle up the feeling I cultivated this week and take it everywhere with me forever. ”
On a clear day see right out to the Himalayas.
Your accommodation…
You’ll be very comfortable sleeping in either a spacious private double or twin-bedded (can be made into a double) room with its own en-suite bathroom, private terrace, or balcony. Each room gets daily house cleaning, and has extensive views over the garden or surrounding area.
Looking to share a room but not coming with a friend? State this in the booking form and we will do our best to pair you up. Please note that private occupancy rooms are limited so we recommend booking sooner rather than later if you wish for one of these.
The food…
Oh the food! You’ll get three leisurely meals a day in the large shaded veranda of the main house. The kitchen is under the supervision of David Butterworth (a founder of Covent Garden’s prestigious Neal’s Yard bakery). He produces both European and local vegetarian dishes, daily baked breads and desserts, fresh juices from fruit trees, and the option of fresh line caught fish from the lake for non vegetarians. Treat yourself to a glass of wine or a beer too if you like.
Location and climate…
The retreat centre overlooks a lake formed from the damming of the Beas River in the north-west corner of India. It lies in the western edge of Kangra Valley in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. At 500m above sea level has a unique micro-climate. The cooling presence of the lake means that even when temperatures are high the air is fresh for much of the year. From mid February to mid May the days are typically warm, skies are clear, and peak temperatures in the day range from 26-34 degrees.
“Without being OTT, this retreat genuinely feels life changing. Such a rare opportunity to slow down, deepen my yoga, immerse in true nature, connect with others and with myself, away from city life and daily distractions. ”
The most magical place we have ever been.

About us…
I'm Alice and over the course of nearly 10 years as a yoga teacher I have cultivated a deep passion for empowering students through an embodied, intuitive, and meaningful approach to teaching and practising.
You can expect from me practices that sensitively balances precision and stability, and also fluidity and creativity. My aim for students is to come away creating a greater sense of awareness, to explore new movement patterns, and to feel like they have really learnt something.
As well as a yoga teacher, I am a lover of many styles of movement, and fascinated by the human body and its mystery. The type of student that is drawn to my classes are open minded, curious and caring, lover of knowledge, and seeker of seeing different perspectives. My favourite yoga quote is from Judith Lasater: ‘teach people, not poses.’
Explore grounds maintained with so much care and love.
Make meaningful life long connections.
Having spent time here ourselves personally, there is no other place in the world right now that we want to retreat in with you.
